The
Roosevelt Alumni Association held
its first annual Alumni Day in April 2004. The event was a
success. Alumni came from as far away as Maryland to speak
with students in the high school.

Scholarship

The Roosevelt Alumni Association is pleased to announce our
first annual Leadership Scholarship Competition. This is an
opportunity to earn a scholarship toward education after high
school. Our leadership scholarship allows the Roosevelt Alumni
Association to look beyond standardized test scores and grade
point averages to the character and leadership qualities of
applicants. We will awarded one scholarship in Fall 2004
to Ivory Barber in
the amount of $1000.

Directory

The purpose of the
Alumni Directory Project is to complete and distribute a
comprehensive print and online alumni directory accessible to
alumni and the school. Such a directory had a number of
benefits such as:
- Helping alumni keep in touch
- Encouraging school spirit
- Recruiting leaders and volunteers
- Generating support for school activities
and referendums
- Enhancing the Roosevelt Alumni Association
- Creating a network of dedicated mentors
- Compiling the largest single body to
solicit funds for annual giving, capital, endowment, and
special uses.
